The Best Day

I ponder if this is something that’s completely unique to me or happens with other girls also but whenever I find myself getting ready for a special night something always tends to go bad. If it is me spoiling my makeup somehow, or spilling something on the nice dress I was wearing that night, something bad always occurred. Whenever it is necessary that I look my absolute best, I just finish up making myself look like a joke. However, when I dress normally, I look good.

I dislike having the dress up for special evenings because I’m not able to wear comfy sneakers or jeans for casual outings. I remember one night particularly where I was celebrating my birthday at a particularly classy cafe. I really wished to look special because all my pals and family came and it was my one special night. I chose a nice dress and wanted to buy a matching pair of Manolo Blahnik shoes. I fully loved these shoes and for once in my life, I basically liked the way I looked in something. I’m a firm believer that shoes make the outfit but these were too expensive and ran into the thousands. Was it actually worth it to pay upwards of a thousand greenbacks solely to look good for one night?

I decided not to purchase it and told my friend about my disgruntlement. She cheered me rather and told me she was coming to choose me up. Well, I took a shower, put on my makeup and got dressed. I looked in the mirror and was depressed. Something was missing and it was actually the shoes. My outfit looked fully perfect but the non-inclusion of those Manolo Blahnik shoes actually deteriorated the overall impact of my dress. I’d look graceless in front of my friends. I began to get nervous and nervous. I attempted awfully tough to force myself to cheer up and think differently but my mind kept wandering back to those perfect shoes I saw. Shortly, the bell rang and I had no way out but to slip on a unacceptable pair of boots. She said I looked great and we left.

I was still rather melancholy as we strolled to her car. She opened up the door and there laid a beautiful present wrapped up in gold paper. I opened it up and was startled. The same pair of Manolo Blahnik shoes I wanted so bad just hours before was sitting in the case in front of me. I couldn’t accept such expensive shoes but she let me know that these were really replicas and cost massively less. I was amazed and elated ; they looked so real.

It seemed to be the perfect birthday. We went to the party and I was complimented right and left for the amazing pair of Manolo Blahnik shoes i wore. No one even realized they were duplicates. I had a great night and the best birthday ever.
