My interest in jobs in medical transcription
My interest in jobs in medical transcription peaked when I found out I was pregnant with my soon to be, first child. While I am sure that is a common reason for many people entering this field, I feel as if I will excel rapidly at this type of work. While I currently have a masters degree in Early Childhood Education, through working with small children I realize the benefits of being able to spend the first most crucial years at home with your child. During my career as a preschool teacher, I found that the children who had been in day care or school from the time they were born needed much more attention than other students. They were often needy, insecure and had emotional attachment issues to teachers and other students. The children who spent time in a healthy home in their early years were better adjusted, more relaxed and able to immerse themselves in an academic environment at the appropriate time with ease. My husband and I have chosen to raise our children until they are school age in order to create the parent child bond we feel is so necessary in early childhood. As I look forward to being a stay at home mom I also know that I am a highly motivated person who thrives on having productive work to do throughout the day. I am a task oriented person and love when I can see a job or project through from start to finish. In the past I have excelled at jobs where I am able to complete a project and then be done, I have a hard time in positions where there is a lot of idle time spent sitting around waiting for something to do. I have also always been interested in medical record jobs. My fascination with health, fitness and how the human body operates is never ceasing, but through a growing knowledge of myself and my sensitivities I am aware that I am not cut out to work in a hospital environment. I have looked into many work from home options and they all seem to be a scam involving lots of personal financial contributions with little or no legitimacy in return. When I read about Future MT I was thrilled to find a program that trained individuals legitimately to work from home and aided in job placement when training is complete. When I discuss my desire to find a job where I can work from home or take my newborn with me many people have suggested working as a medical transcriptionist and the interest has always lay dormant in the back of my mind. Often I will seek out programs on the Internet, but I have found when I look into technical schools that offer this option I am confronted with an amazing number of harassing phone calls and offers into areas I am not at all interested in. When I found Future MT I appreciated the web site that offered facts about training, job placement and what to expect without having to sign my life away or be bothered by phone calls trying to sell me on something in order to get this information. I appreciate that your training is quick and self motivated yet still enables me to be well qualified for this position. You offer valuable help and resources in order to complete the program as well as find jobs in this field. My goals as a medical transcriptionist include completing the training in a short amount of time and beginning work as soon as possible. I would ultimately like to begin working part time in the field then eventual merge into a more full-time position as my husband and I adjust to parenting and my child ages. I already have a large amount in student loans so taking out more educational loans is not an option for us right now, a scholarship to your facility would help me immensely in pursuing my educational and career goals. I hope you find my qualifications for your school and scholarship desirable and I look forward to hearing from you soon.
