I Am Not Foolish
I am a professional tutor who is into communication and company training. After many years of experience I today know virtually all the subtleties of training and coaching Methodologies.
We have recently launched a project for our organization under which my team and I might be catering for the corporate coaching wishes of the business unit that comes under my supervision. We probably did an intricate training need identification exercise across the organization so that we have the genuine picture about the current and potential learning curve of the workers. By the end of the exercise my team and I came down to a conclusion that there was quite a bit of coaching opening. We’d really have to pull our socks to ensure that the minimum commitment that we had given to the management in terms of training hours per workers, are met. Considering the present strength of my team, I realized as per what the coaching targets were we needed more trainers. And therefore, I raised a recruitment requisition for five more trainers.
As the situation needed urgent attention. I was myself in contact with the HR department to make sure that I am getting the best of the trainers available in the market. Often, it’s my team that looks after the recruitments. However, for over a week’s time I was interviewing trainers after trainers. And by the end of it I felt like there were no good trainers left on the face of the earth. More than half of the people I met were attempting to sell a Gucci replica and wanted me to believe that it was original. Have it not been training I would have actually been fooled by the angle and confidence these applicants had when they talked hollow stuff about training. As they talked it was quite evident that they knew noting about training or the coaching technique. All they knew was to dress nicely and carry a hoax attitude. I’m not surprised why they would have Gucci replica at all.
It was fairly a sorrowful situation. I was more anxious about the undeniable fact that if in the market these were the trainers that we had then how could I be thinking about outsourcing some of the coaching projects that I presumed I would. As the training consultants are far more for making profits rather than caring about the learning curve of the players. And not to mention my fears were mounting high as there was too many to deliver and the resources I had, were limited.
eventually I thought that I might have the video recording of the trainings delivered by the best trainers I have and use the same to coach the staff all across the organization. By doing this I would not have to hire those Gucci replica selling trainers and I could take care of the coaching delivery targets as the same time, without bending knees. And that is exactly what we probably did as a team. Not just that we were able to cover more than what we committed but the results of this invention turned out to be really dazzling.
